When Steve and Judi bought Oak Lawn Farm a few years ago, they listened to advice from local folks who could help them.
One of the best suggestions was to wait a year before getting animals. Very good advice! With so many other things
to learn, caring for animals may have put us over the top.
Then came the decision of what kind of animals to get. We looked at buffalo, llamas, cows, horses and other more
unique animals to give the ambiance we wanted. Then we met Jim and Jodi Small of Arch Acres.
When we first saw Texas Lonhorns we were hooked. Idaho was a bottle calf who literally rolled on her back at our
feet to have her tummy scratched. She was delivered the next day.
